I sent in pictures to both Elite Model Management and FORD Modeling (Chicago) and have received phone calls from each agency asking for more photos and measurements, I’m just curious to see, if they do decide if they like me, which agency has a better rep?

America’s Next Top Model: Episode 9.9, “the Girl Who Starts to Lose Her Cool” Recap

Tonight on America ’s Next Top Model, the girls took a hand in creating their own outfits for the next photo shoot, which was to be set in the middle of a desert. However, at the fashion show, some were too shy to speak in front of a group of fashion design students. However, the photo shoot did pull through, despite having one girl off the competitors list to be named as America ’s Next Top Model.
The girls’ next challenge required them to collaborate with fashion design students from the Fashion Institute of Design and Marketing. Benny Ninja instructed them to take a plain blue dress and revamp it, with the help of their student partners. Judges for the fashion exhibit were Neal Hamil, the director of Elite Model Management and Ann Shoket, editor-in-chief of Seventeen magazine.
Ninja added that they had to do a little introductory speech on their clothing item, talking about their look and what inspired it. Heather and Lisa got cold feet, and thus the judges eventually chose Saleisha as the winner who will participate in a photo shoot as her prize. Bianca and Lisa tagged along for the trip.
Meanwhile, at the house, Heather broke down after a frustrating day, engaging into a conflict with Lisa and Saleisha. Later, the three ladies talked about it.
The aspiring models then did their photo shoot in a desert, where they were to portray stranded people standing next to a burning car. Heather did not perform well, as she was distracted and unfocused, while Ambreal and Lisa also had a hard time not looking too “posey,” as Jay commented. Bianca and Jenah were brilliant, as Bianca became competitive.
Eventually, Lisa and Ambreal landed on the bottom two, and Tyra decided to send home Ambreal, who wasn’t surprised at the decision. She packed her things and walked away proud of her stint on America ’s Next Top Model.

The applicants of the upcoming cycle 13 must be AT or UNDER 5′7″. Why? Everybody knows that high fashion models are at least 5′8″ or taller. The Elite Model Management’s -the agency which represents the cycle winners- height requirements are 5′9″ to 6′0″. What’s the reason of this height downgrade?

In a press teleconference following her victory, America’s Next Top Model Cycle 8 winner Jaslene Gonzalez dishes out on her personal life and her Top Model experience.
Ever since America’s Next Top Model premiered in 2003, Gonzalez has been an avid fan of the show. She has aspired to become the first Latina winner on the show and has fruitfully proven her worth as the crowned winner of Cycle 8.
Apart from her acquisition of the Top Model prizes, which include a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl cosmetics, a representation from Elite Model Management and a spread in Seventeen magazine, what satisfies her the most is the thought of inspiring other people, especially her Latina community, to pursue their dreams.
Gonzales has certainly come a long way since she has been rejected on America’s Next Top Model Cycle 7. Backed up with perseverance and determination, she has pursued Cycle 8 and has prevailed among the thirteen contestants.
Gonzales describes her personal fashion style as feminine. And although many have compared her to controversial Janice Dickinson, she considers this as a flattering remark given that she is a huge fan of the former Top Model judge.
Despite ending up as the winner, the 20-year old model has admitted that the toughest thing for her was the acting challenge on the competition. She has also experienced some little misunderstanding with Felicia but claims that she continues to keep in touch with all of the girls, most especially Cassandra and Dionne, who have become very close to Gonzalez.
As of the moment, Gonzalez is trying to shun away from being deemed as a reality TV star since her real goal in life is to be a successful and reputable model. She also aspires to grace the cover of Vogue magazine. She is currently busy with modeling gigs booked by her agent and will be moving to New York in June.

BuddyTV catches another hatchet and she comes in the form of Sarah Vonderhaar, the 6th contestant to be axed on Americaâ??s Next Top Modelâ??s cycle 8. In an exclusive interview, she talked about her Top model journey, as well as her plans after her stint on the popular reality show.
Initially, Vonderhaar opted to audition for Americaâ??s Next Top Model cycle 7 but made it to cycle 8. This 20-year old girl is actually not new to the modeling world, modeling since the age of 17. Despite her modeling experience with Elite Model Management in Chicago, Vonderhaar was still eliminated from Americaâ??s Next Top Model. While some of the judges deem her poses as unnatural, she maintains that it was just an upshot of her being used to modeling in high fashion, nevertheless she still agrees with the judges since they just wanted her to deviate from what she is used to doing.
She declares that she had a very fun time during her stay in the house with the other contestants, despite all the drama and the tension and notwithstanding the subjective editing, appearing quite pompous as she took credit for the work of other people. Although she already apologized for not acknowledging the work of the other girls, she maintains that she is not pretentious in real life.
As for the rest of the contestants, she believes that Brittany, Jael and Jaslene would end up on the top three, since they seem to be the strongest when it comes to striking poses and establishing distinct model presence.
This native of Lake Zurich, Illinois appears to be very optimistic since she plans to continue her modeling career while she simultaneously pursues photography. In fact, she enjoys doing both so much that itâ??s hard for her to just single out one career direction. Furthermore, she has been busy with music recording, which is also one of her interests.
